A dark enclosed tunnel with no current visible exits.
The darkness ahead and posterior to me tells me I’m no where near an exit. I can keep walking but I don’t know how much longer until I find a way out.  That’s exactly how you feel when you are alone in a problem that seems unresolvable. It can be very difficult to see God in the middle of our troubles especially if we are in deep pain and surrounded by questions. We could easily be tempted into thinking that God no longer cares or has forgotten us. But those thoughts come from the idea that serving God may refrain us from facing similar troubles and that is not true.

We think about God as the entitled solutioner and he does have the solution for everything, but he cannot force anyone to it. We may forget that He won’t force change or action on anyone; not even on ourselves.

Seeing the light at the end of the tunnel seems impossible when the occasion is one where we have limited or no control at all. Desperate to find our way out, we easily fatigue and loose energy trying to figure out the solutions or awaiting the changes. But instead, our energy should be focused in knowing firmly were we stand with God in the problem.

The place where we stand in these cases is right in the hands of God, being held by Him after surrendering our cause to him. We can have confidence in knowing that He will remain faithful to us regardless of the outcomes. Whenever I find uncertainty in situations I cannot control, I have my security in knowing that He will heal and restore me also from any painful or undesired outcomes.

God stands in a place of gentle care and support through the struggles and fogginess that difficult problems may bring upon us. When I feel my problems are unlikely to be resolved, I can see that God’s place is to hold me. I know that I wouldn’t had survived if I haven’t been held by God— that is something that I am sure of.

God will always be faithful to making things right for you because He is by definition:
Faithful
True
Just

Someway along the way he will make it right for you. He will protect. He will heal. He will provide. He will restore. He fights for you.
Even if you go thru the lonely tunnel; He is there to guide you and take you to the exit.

I can concentrate instead in handling my place in the problem in Godly dependable ways. I can fine tune my ear and learn about God and seek his guidance. I can let him be God in my life with whatever I cannot control.
I can enjoy the grace of leaving to him what is His and not having to worry about. I can focus in the growth that can occur in myself when I go thru this while being held by the hand of God.

“So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
                Isaiah 41:10
